FAQ

q: what can you design?

A: Here’s a (nearly) exhaustive list of the things I’ve worked on in the past: flyers, posters, outdoor posters, vinyl title graphics, text panels, artwork labels, SketchUp models, architectural plans and elevations for galleries, exhibition catalogs, brochures, rack cards, social banners, social posts, digital displays, environmental graphics, digital PDF documents, online exhibitions, presentations, slideshows, website assets, icons, digital photography editing, stickers, email templates, motion graphics, infographics, and branding.

Q: how much do you charge?

A: That depends… first, I need to know a little more about your project and then I can come up with an estimate for you. Some things to consider and include in your request:

  • What do you want to create? What will the final products be? Print, digital, or both?

  • What assets do you already have? Do you have brand guidelines to apply to the project?

  • What is your timeline?

Q: I want to get something printed. can you do that?

A: Yes and no. I can’t print anything myself, but I can manage the project and get estimates for printing from multiple vendors, once you decide on a quantity and a budget for your project. This time will incur an additional fee on my part, plus the costs from the printer.

Q: why do i even need a designer? can’t i make my own stuff with ai or some other free app?

A: Yes, there are lots of free tools out there to design your brand and your own graphics, especially for social and digital platforms. But you’ll spend a lot of time learning how to use them to make your design unique and consistent across your project OR you’ll use a template and scroll through Facebook or Instagram one day to find that someone else has the exact same look.
